This page is for the “Mithaq - Muslim Marriage” app on Google Play, by the developer Alaa Albayed. It explains how to delete your account and its data, what is deleted, what we keep and why, and when.
Request account deletion by email
Send an email from the Google address you use to sign in to Mithaq to alaa.albayed2016@gmail.com with the subject “طلب حذف الحساب” (account deletion request).

- Email alaa.albayed2016@gmail.com from the Google address linked to your account, with the subject “طلب حذف الحساب” (account deletion request). Include your display name so we can find the account quickly.
- We confirm the request comes from the account owner by matching the email address. If you write from another address, we will ask you to confirm from the account’s address, to protect you from someone else deleting your account.
- We deactivate and hide your account, sign you out of all devices, and confirm by email — within 7 days of your message at most.
- We permanently delete your data within 30 days of confirming the request.
If you have a subscription, cancel it in Google Play before or after deleting — deleting your account does not cancel it. See “Your subscription” below.
What is deleted
- Your account and its link to your Google account, and your email address.
- Registration data: display name, gender, date of birth, country and city.
- All your profile answers, including religious ones, your text, and your partner criteria.
- Your photos — the files are deleted from our servers.
- Likes, favourites, profile visits and block lists.
- Your conversations and messages.
- Notification tokens and sign-in sessions.
What we keep, and why

| Purchase records: plan, order number, amount and currency, date, country of purchase | Required by tax and accounting laws, so we keep them for the legally required period (up to 10 years), separated from any profile or photos, and use them for nothing else. |
| Reports and bans for serious violations (such as fraud or any abuse of a minor) | The minimum needed to stop the person returning and to cooperate with the authorities where the law requires. |
| Technical logs (IP address, device type) | Deleted automatically within 30 days. |
| Backups | Overwritten on rotation, so your data disappears from them within at most 30 days after deletion. |
| Your deletion request email | Kept as proof that we carried out your request, then deleted within 12 months. |
Timeline
- When the request is processed (within 7 days)The account is deactivated, your profile disappears for everyone, and you are signed out of all devices.
- Within 30 daysYour data is permanently deleted from our database and servers.
- Within 30 further daysIt disappears from backups.
Your subscription
Subscriptions are managed by Google Play, and deleting your account or uninstalling the app does not cancel them. Cancel in the Google Play app: profile picture → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Mithaq → Cancel subscription. Refunds follow the Google Play policy — see our Terms of Use.
Deleting only some of your data
You do not need to delete your account to remove a photo or change an answer: you can delete photos and edit your profile and criteria in the app at any time. To delete other specific data, email alaa.albayed2016@gmail.com. See our Privacy Policy for details.
